The pure electric Mid-size MPV product of MAXUS – MIFA7 was awarded Euro NCAP five-star certification and ranked as the safest MPV along with the other pure electric Large-size MPV product of MAXUS – MIFA9.

Recently, the latest 2024 Euro NCAP safety crash test results were announced. As the brand that consistently produces the safest MPV products, MIFA7 the newly launched MPV product of MAXUS has once again secured a top "five-star" rating!

Moreover, among the five crash testing subjects in the Adult Occupant Category, MIFA7 received full marks in four of them, including Full Width Rigid Barrier, Advanced European Mobile Deformable Barrier, Side Pole and Rear Impact, becoming the first and only vehicle to achieve four full scores after the implementation of the new Euro NCAP regulations. With perfect scores of MIFA 7, MAXUS has powerfully set a new record for the industry. In the Euro NCAP five-star safety certification test for Adult Occupant and Vulnerable Road Users categories, MIFA7 along with MIFA 9 have occupied first and second place, becoming the "five-star benchmark" in the global automobile market.

About Euro NCAP

Euro NCAP organizes crash tests on new vehicles and provides motoring consumers with a realistic and independent assessment of the safety performance of some of the most popular cars sold in Europe. Established in 1997 and backed by several European Governments, motoring, consumer and insurance organizations, Euro NCAP has rapidly become a catalyst for encouraging significant safety improvements to new car design.

Euro NCAP ratings strictly apply to vehicles of the specifications offered in Europe. The ratings do not necessarily apply to models offered in other regions, even when sold under an identical name, as production specification and equipment may vary.

Scored 92/100 in the Adult Occupant Category, and achieved high marks in the test of Frontal Impact

[MIFA7 passed the Mobile Progressive Deformable Barrier test]

The body frame of MIFA7 adopts the close-loop-typed frame structure. The body frame contains about 70%(amount of the body frame) high-tensile-steel(>200 MPa) and 20%(amount of the body frame) ultra-tensile-steel(>400 MPa), which constructs the torsional stiffness of MIFA7 resulting as 26.8 KN*m/deg, and that implements the great safe capacity of the MIFA7.

Furthermore, on top of the π-shaped load decentralized structure, the structure of MIFA7 adopted the advanced 6+2+2 typed architecture, to decentralize the load even forward.

The six installation points of the subframe and the body can effectively prevent the subframe from retreating and compressing the power battery when impacted, combined with the two connection points of the power battery on the body torsion box and the two longitudinal beams inside the battery, achieving a full-line penetration from the front to the rear of the vehicle. This structure can fully utilize the internal frame stiffness of the battery pack to dissipate energy.

The 6+2+2 load decentralized structure on MIFA7 can efficiently move the collision load to the sill at a relative collision speed of 100km/h, completely preventing the power battery from being impacted, and achieving extra safety protection for its battery.

Scored 92/100 in the Adult Occupant Category, and passed with full marks in the test of Lateral Impact

Along with the great safety performance of MIFA7 on the Frontal Impact, the grade of Lateral Impact on MIFA7 scored perfectly as well. MIFA7 has an interlaced nether body structure to enhance body strength. The interlaced structure can disperse more stress under impacts and spare greater living space for the passenger compartment in the event of a lateral impact. Meanwhile, the seven airbags equipped in MIFA7 also include two ultra-long side airbags of up to 2.89 meters, covering the passengers in the front, middle, and rear rows. Moreover, those ultra-long side airbags are equipped with dual generators, which accelerate the deployment speed by 50% compared to the single generator condition, and the time for the airbags to fully deploy is around 0.03 sec.

Scored 92/100 in the Adult Occupant Category, and passed with full marks in the test of Rear Impact

MIFA7 adopts the full-score seat frame platform of MIFA9 and maintains over 90% seat-to-body fit. The backrest frame, cushion frame, headrest frame, and suspension system can all absorb energy comprehensively, minimizing injury to drivers and passengers.

Scored 81/100 in the Vulnerable Road Users Category

In the Euro ENCAP Vulnerable Road User Category, the MPV products from MAXUS MIFA7 and MIFA9 are the only two MPV models scored over 70/100, and MIFA7 has the highest score of 81/100. In the VRU Impact Protection test, MIFA7 scored 70% on the upper part (Pedestrian & Cyclist Head) test and 95% on the lower part(Pelvis, Femur and Knee & Tibia) test.
