Hannover, Germany - SAIC MAXUS, a subsidiary of Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC), one of the world's largest vehicle manufacturers, today announced a significant expansion of its electric vehicle (EV) lineup at the IAA International Motor Show in Hannover. The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the all-new eTerron 9, marking a new milestone in the company's commitment to electrification and innovation in the European market.

This year, the company launched an impressive lineup of five new models in the global market, tailored to meet the unique needs of customers worldwide. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, and MAXUS is set to expand its portfolio with an additional ten models next year, each promising high standards of performance, comfort, and sustainability.
The eTerron 9, the show's star, is Europe's first 4x4 electric serial pickup truck built on a dedicated electric platform. With a range of 430 kilometers(WLTP), the eTerron 9 offers a driving experience free from range anxiety.

The eTerron 9 features an innovative semi-monocoque body design, enhancing safety and durability. Its Tetris Battery pack, with a 9-cell protective framework, optimizes battery placement for increased capacity and safety, achieving an impressive 102 kWh storage. The vehicle's nine-channel valve thermal management module is designed to handle tough and various diverse weather conditions, improving thermal efficiency by two times during cold winters.

Powering the eTerron 9 is a dual permanent magnet synchronous motor four-wheel-drive setup, delivering a combined peak power of 325 kW, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds. The eTerron 9 also boasts a towing capacity of up to 3.5 tons and a maximum payload capacity of 620 kg, outperforming competitors in its class.

The eTerron 9's advanced ATS (All-Terrain System) and six preset driving modes, along with a customizable mode, make it a beginner-friendly electric pickup.

In addition, there is a 236-liter “frunk” under the hood where luggage can be transported weatherproof and which accommodates two-seat space for a break or BBQ when camping.

The eTerron 9 also unlocks even more space versatility. It’s the only pickup with an electric opening rear tailgate. Available as option you simply hit the button and the rear glass lowers, connecting the cargo bed with the cabin, creating a massive space of 2400mm. A 7 feet 10 inches Surfboard can be easily stored make the eTerron 9 a perfect dual-purpose partner-an efficient helper during workdays and a loyal companion for leisure.
